Transitional Housing
Colorado House and Resource Center
The Colorado House and Resource Center is a community collaborative effort led by the Rocky Mountain Community Land Trust (RMCLT) and Partners In Housing (PIH). In June of 2003 these two agencies purchased the Embers Restaurant and adjoining Newport Inn Motel at the corner of Colorado and Wahsatch Avenues in downtown Colorado Springs. The complex was converted into a 30 unit transitional housing facility with an attached, multi use resource center to provide residents with free access to essential resources.
The RMCLT oversees the facilities while PIH offers casework and self-sufficiency programs. This collaboration allows the Colorado House to offer its comprehensive housing and related programs without duplicating services that are already available in the community.
