About the Home
RockyMountainCommunityLand Trust homes are examples
of high-quality, affordable housing through community collaborations. Built for limited-income first-time
homebuyers, they feature low maintenance and energy saving products.
Low maintenance
features include low-E vinyl windows, stucco exterior, tankless hot water
heater, low-flow plumbing fixtures, additional insulation, a whole house fan,
and Energy Star appliances—all designed to save families money. Front yard landscaping and irrigation system
are provided to make these homes instantly livable at move-in.
The American Dream is located in School District 20 near employment, shopping, parks and
hospitals minimizing commuting costs and travel time. Compact design standards, detached garages,
and front porches all work together to establish a walkable, traditional
neighborhood and interactive community.
We encourage you to
come see what quality, affordable housing can be in our community. These homes do in fact represent the American
Dream for qualified limited-income, first-time homebuyers.
About the Interior Design
The American Dream
features art and furnishings provided by Morgan Ross Galleries with a focus on
affordable, recycled, handcrafted furniture; accented by the art of local
Colorado artists. Comfortable, functional furnishings combine with breathtaking
artwork to create a home that is casual, yet stylish--perfect for the modern
family.
Each room tells a
story of functionality and style. Photographs by Colorado Springs photographer, Bob Kane,
bring liveliness to a child’s bedroom while landscapes by awarded artist Carl
Bork bring expansive views and vibrant colors indoors. Modern furnishings by
Jeff Faine, of avenuetwo:design, infuse multiuse function into small spaces, while
naturally inspired furnishings by Austin Aaron, of Dancing Grains, create a
coziness that draws you to the home’s relaxed comfort.
Kaati Ross of MorganRossGalleries pulls together Colorado artists and craftspeople to create
a home that speaks volumes about the amazing talent and quality workmanship
available within our state.
